Jeannot presented the new Spring-Summer 2020 collection during the 88th edition of MICAM, the fiftieth anniversary of one of the most prestigious industry trade fair in the world.
A meaningful celebration in a symbolic moment of transition for the fashion business, going through important changes in the production process, awareness and footwear perception.
MICAM was an opportunity to relaunch production and demonstrate that Italian fashion items are not only productive excellence, but also icons of the culture of our country.
This aspect was also highlighted by Ivan Scalfarotto, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, who visited the event and anticipated some initiatives related to internationalization and the enhancement of the fashion system.
Jeannot showed the strong and multi-faceted lines of the 2020 spring-summer collection, a mirrow of the determination and feminine dynamism to which the brand continues to pay tribute.
The urban style is inspired by the myths of X generation culture (which includes those born between the mid-60s and the early 80s). So it finds itself between streetstyle and sneakers, grunge, punk and rap, as if the future looked at the past, when music could inspire minds and determine shapes and colors of specific subcultures.
There are tattoos, crests and studs, but also leather, cork and lots of black, elements and fabrics that set up a bold and original style, exactly the opposite of homologation that is rampant in society.
The SS20 collection is, above all, a hymn to human creativity, in all its wonderful non-conformism and desecrating spirit. MICAM will be back next year in February, when Jeannot will present the FW 20/21 collection.
